The North Carolina company named a top-10 ranking of North Carolina cities and towns that are ideal for the retirement years. Morrisville topped the list, and Mount Holly came in second. The Gaston County Economic Development Commission is pleased to announce that Owens Corning will construct an advanced manufacturing plant in the Gastonia Technology Park (GTP). The facility will house the manufacturing and research & development for the glass fiber sector of Owens Corning. The initial investment will be $120 million and at full operations the company will employ up to 110 persons. Construction is scheduled to begin at the end of 2013 with the completion of the facility to occur by fourth quarter 2014.
