Manufacturers are looking to attract a new crop of young workers to fill 21st-century jobs — many of which require advanced skill sets.  Local manufacturing companies will meet with high school students for just that purpose at two separate events on Friday, National Manufacturing Day.


Gaston’s graduation rate is the highest ever

Gastonia, N.C. – The high school graduation rate for Gaston County Schools is the highest ever, according to information released today by the North Carolina State Board of Education. The graduation rate for the Class of 2015 is 86.3 percent.

International Express Trucking, Inc. expands operations to Lowell

International Express Trucking, Inc. has purchased the former Wagner Knitting Building, a 77,000 square foot facility located at 141 Robins Street in Lowell, NC. Warehouse and distribution operations will be housed in this location. International Express Trucking, Inc. has multiple locations in Charlotte and Atlanta.
