Maistro Investments LLC to construct speculative industrial building in GTP
The Gaston County Economic Development Commission is pleased to announce that Maistro Investments LLC has purchased 13.42 acres in the Gastonia Technology Park on REPI Court. The privately held company plans to construct a 50,000 square foot speculative industrial building, with a clear ceiling height of 28 feet, capable of expanding to 100,000 square feet. The investment to be made is approximately $2,500,000. Construction is scheduled to begin immediately with substantial completion of the “shell” to occur by the second quarter of 2016.
“Maistro Investments is excited with this new project. Furthermore, GTP’s proximity to the Charlotte Douglas International Airport will certainly make our building even more attractive” said Eduardo Maistro. R. Panico Peres, President & CEO of No Borders Consulting Group added: “I agree with Eduardo that the airport is one of our most attractive features. Yet, I also believe that the Park’s location literally adjacent to Gaston Community College will help market the building to manufacturing companies. After all, all manufacturers search their location based on the capability of their future workforce.”
Mr. Tracy Philbeck, Chairman of the Gaston County Board of Commissioners said; “We are excited about this venture to complete the development of our Gastonia Technology Park.” He further stated, “The Gaston County EDC began working with No Borders Consulting Group in early 2014 on the concept of this much needed facility.” Chairman Philbeck added, “This venture will enhance our capability to compete for those international economic development projects requiring a modern building to meet the needs of industry in the 21st century. The Gaston County Board of Commissioners appreciates the investment being made in our County by Mr. Eduardo Maistro.”
“On behalf of the City Council, we welcome Maistro Investments LLC to Gastonia. It is an honor for the city to have gained the trust and confidence of this Brazilian based investment group,” said Mayor John Bridgeman. “The potential opportunities to compete for a variety of industrial projects provided by the investment by Maistro Investments LLC are an important benefit to our city. We appreciate this new partnership with Mr. Eduardo Maistro and look forward to working with No Borders Consulting Group and Maistro Investments LLC on future endeavors.”
“Maistro Investments LLC met with the EDC early last year to discuss the potential of investing in a speculative building in the GTP and the groundbreaking for this building is the culmination of those efforts. I am extremely appreciative of Maistro Investments LLC and No Borders Consulting Group in selecting the GTP for this venture. On behalf of the EDC Board I would like to thank Mr. Eduardo Maistro for his confidence in Gaston County” said EDC Chairman Fred Jackson.
